A SINGING star is preparing for a charity gig next weekend.

Harlee Sudworth, aged 12, will perform at a charity cancer ball for Mel O’Neill, the Penketh woman battling breast cancer at the Stobart Stadium Halton next Saturday, March 9.

Harlee, a Great Sankey High School student, is the god daughter of Mel’s huband Carl.

The singer, who is through to the regional final of TeenStar in Liverpool, has a busy month planned as she will be entertaining the crowd when Warrington Wolves take on Huddersfield Giants at The Halliwell Jones Stadium on March 22.
