Trade unions speak out over Warrington Borough Council job cuts
TRADE unions have voiced their dismay at Warrington Borough Council’s draft budget which will see 54 jobs go.
The proposed budget will be presented at full council on Monday and unions say not only will it see job losses but also services such as day care and sheltered accommodation being outsourced.
Jason Horan from Unison said “We cannot stress enough that outsourcing services is not the answer.
"Last year saw libraries, leisure and culture outsourced to two not for profit organisations, yet this year’s budget sees budget savings from Livewire and Culture Warrington to the tune of £575,000 which could equate to even more job losses to the 54 already quoted in the executive board report.”
The trade unions also say staff are at breaking point with increased work load following reductions in the work force and the unions say employees could also face changes to their terms and conditions .

Cameron, Clegge and Osborne,
They have reduced the amount of money paid to councils and this is the result
,
It aint over yet, They have two more years to drag the country into the third world,
Kids going hungry, Disabled robbed of benefits, Pensioners screwed for their last penny.
People are not being carefull of what they spend in the shops, They havn,t got anything left to spend in the shops. But this shower cant understand that.

What`s the use of being a member of a trade union if they don`t try to protect jobs!!
