THE new mascots for the Rugby League World Cup have been unveiled.

Grubber and Steed made their debuts at Headingly on Friday as Leeds lost to Melbourne Storm in the World Club Challenge.

RLWC2013 marketing manager, Mark Foster said: “Grubber and Steed will grab the attention of young fans and their families. Every great tournament has a great mascot and RLWC2013 will be no exception.”

Grubber and Steed will be a key part of the team promoting the tournament this year appearing at schools, libraries, festivals and community events across the UK.
