its hardly news, its just publicity, that place does the same very year for the season then sacks them off at the end of the season. its not new jobs, its insecurity feeding on the desperate for minimum wage..I bet they rang you to let you "publish" their great news. nice free advertising.

It may be that step up that some people want. They have proved themselves gained some experience and a possible job reference also. There are quite a few seasonal jobs and short term contracts and they suit some people and not others.

Work experience is what some people need, Gullivers world will provide that for 160 unempoted people, it can only be good news. They are not exploiting the people and the experience will at the least go some way to providing future employees that the individuals are capable of getting up for work and attending regularly

I wish you well and sincerely hope that you will be successfully employed. I also hope that you will be able to manage on the low wages Your comment is encouraging, thank you.

Were you once refused entry here? I am unsure why such negativity. I, like most, will accept that this work is not ideal for someone seeking full time employment, but surely it is better than nothing? If some secured one of these positions, but was ‘sacked off at the end of the season’, are they worse off? For someone who has not worked for a number of months, this will bring their CV up to date and might make the difference of being taken on elsewhere, as they will have proven that they can and are willing to work.

Many stories on this and other online newspapers are negative and a lot not pleasant to read. Then we get a story with a positive nature and the first comment makes 6-7 negative comments about it. I think by the comments after the first shows that most see this as a good thing.
