CHEF Aiden Byrne has announced Birchwood based Brainwave will be his restaurant’s charity of the year.
The Michelin star winner owns The Church Green with wife to be Sarah Broadley and they confirmed this week, they will be raising money for the charity.
On Friday, Aiden won the north west heat of the Great British Menu for Comic Relief.
He said: ““Family is very important to me and Sarah, as is our local community and the people within it.
“When we were looking for a charity to nominate for the year we knew we wanted something that had some association to all of those elements, and Brainwave was the perfect choice.
A Charity Gourmet evening at The Church Green will take place on May 14, featuring a special menu designed by Aiden.
