HEALTH chiefs are urging people to get vaccinated against measles after the highest number of cases in 2012 for 18 years.

Outbreaks have been recorded in Merseyside and Lancashire with numerous cases in older children, teenagers and adults who missed out on the MMR jab at a younger age.

Advice includes if you are not sure if you have had two doses of the vaccine, speak to your GP.
