WINNING a female harmony trio in a raffle would have left many scratching their heads over what to do with their prize.

But Lysa Randle immediately saw a fundraising opportunity in memory of her son Theo Harry James Randle, who died aged eight days old.

Mum-of-four Lysa, who is a governor at Winwick Primary School, held ‘Theo's vintage tea party’ on Sunday at the Myddleton Lane school and raised £2,116 for Ronald McDonald House at Alder Hey and Warrington Hospital neonatal unit.

She said: “We won a free gig with Nylon Hearts at an event we attended to raise money in memory of Candice Marie Roberts (a friend and work colleague).

“It was though it was meant to be as my friends and I knew exactly what we were going to do and the planning for Theo’s tea party started that day.

“We are completely overwhelmed by the support and generosity of people and could not have pulled it off without the ‘Team Theo Volunteers'. ”
