Fire chiefs urge Valentine's candle caution
FIRE chiefs are urging residents to take care with candles ahead of love birds lighting up on Valentine’s Day.
Advice includes never leave candles burning or on top of the TV and always use a suitable container that can withstand the heat.
Alex Waller, Warrington’s service delivery manager, said: "It is so easy to be carried away with the romance of the occasion and forget that candles left unattended can be extremely dangerous and threaten life and property if not used with care.”
