Didn't we just read about how the police need to cut X amount of jobs? but now its like come one come all. makes no sense”.....
The amount of jobs already cut were paid £5.000 pa more than these jobs being advertised. Therefore getting five officers for the price of four. I dont need to remind anybody that you only get what you pay for.

So either straight from school / college or leave your current job & income behind for two years.
Plus work as a special during this period...
(from the website)
"In year 1 (2014 – 15) successful completion of the academic and vocational elements of the course will enable the student to apply for any police constable vacancies for 2014 – 15, appointment being subject to recruitment processes being passed. For subsequent years, students will need to complete the full two year foundation degree in order to apply for recruitment as a police officer"
Oh...and then, start on £19,000...!! after two years without pay.
It's all here... http://www.cheshire.
