WARRINGTON has one of the lowest rates of fly-tipping in the north west, according to a survey.

The Environment Agency survey looked at the number of incidents of fly-tipping in each area.

It found that Warrington has the second lowest rate in the region.

Clr David Keane, executive board member for environment and public protection at Warrington Borough Council, said: "Fly-tipping can be a real blight on our communities and I am delighted that the numbers of incidents in Warrington have continued to fall year on year.

“We take firm action against those who fly tip, prosecuting those who flout the law.”
