UNDER water search officers have found the body of a young man in water at Latchford Locks in Warrington.

The body has yet to be identified but police say they are no longer looking for missing teenager Nathan Taylor.

The body was found around 5pm and officers say a file will now be prepared for the coroner.

They have been searching the Manchester Ship Canal all day after CCTV enquiries spotted Nathan in the area following his disappearance.

The 18-year-old went missing after leaving a party at Bridge Bar at 11.30pm last Saturday night.

Family, friends and classmates of Nathan have been helping in the search since which has taken in large parts of Warrington between Latchford and his home in Padgate.

Speaking on Tuesday his mum Amanda said: "Nathan is a picture son and he does so much for me. He would never get into trouble."

I didnt know Nathan personally but he has become a big part of my life these past 6 days, ive helped search for him, distributed leaflets & posters & spoken to some of his family & friends, i am utterly devastated for all who knew & loved him! Everyone said what an amazing polite young man he is, he's definatly gonna be leaving ALOT of broken hearts behind! Im proud of the way the whole of Warrington came together as one hoping, wishing & praying that Nathan would be found safe & well, unfortunatly that wasnt to be and now you are in the arms of the Angels... My heart goes out to all that knew this beautiful boy and hope that in time your hearts can begin to heal, thinking of you all at this devastating time, if there is anything at all that i can do, you know where i am. All my love xxx
