Classmates help search for Nathan

CLASSMATES of missing student Nathan Taylor are helping with the search to find him.

The 18-year-old is a media student at Warrington Collegiate where peers have been attempting to contact him.

Students have designed a find Nathan poster, while flyers have been posted around the campus on Long Lane.

The appeal is also being screened in the dining and leisure areas, and on the college’s website, intranet and social networking pages.

Paul Hafren, principal, said: “We are all desperately concerned about Nathan and are doing all we can to support the search.

“We would like to extend our best wishes to his family at this worrying time.

“We all hope that he will come back to the college to finish his studies as soon as he can.”

Fiona Baxter, curriculum manager for ICT and media, said: “Staff who teach Nathan and his classmates and support workers have been meeting every day to discuss the ways in which we can support the police search.

“His classmates have been talking to the police about their most recent contact with him and have created a poster themselves which they handed out in Warrington.

“They would like his family to know that they are thinking of him and are hoping for his safe return as soon as possible.”

Nathan went missing after leaving at party at the Bridge Bar in Latchford at 11.30pm on Saturday.

Anyone with information can call police on 101.

Last night my fifteen-year-old grandson was followed home by an adult male and beaten up outside his own front door. The police are not interested.

My grandson seems fine apart from a few bruises. The problem is the nature of the attack, and the villain must have had a reason for following him to his home. Who knows if or when he'll turn up again? If only he'd come whilst I was there. He wont 'cos he's a gutless child molester.

The Nathan Taylor case is extremely serious and we need to be careful about introducing things into the equation that may hamper the investigation. You make no comment as to whether this really was a completely unprovoked attack or if as you say, the adult must have had reason to follow him home?

I recently saw a young lad get a kick up the arse which he thoroughly deserved for causing damage and being abusive and yet minutes later he was there with his parents accusing the man of being a child molester and pedophile.

Establish your facts and be very certain because what happened to your grandson could be important or completely misleading.

Someone who hits 15 year olds is not a child molester...

Your son got home with minor injuries..

Nathan is still missing...PRIORITIES
!!.
Ask his mum if she would mind sparing a few officers to come to you, rather than searching for her son...

Very few are random attacks...ask your son what he did (not saying he deserved it) but just ask...

Jim:
"beaten up outside his own front door"
"by an adult male"
"fine apart from a few bruises"

Either your son is hard as nails, or this adult male is not that good at giving "beatings"...

I agree with Bill (above), establish facts, oh and vent your anger elsewhere...
I think you only put your comments on this article, as it is well read and you felt it would get more noticed..

If I saw a child misbehaving I would follow that child home and speak to their parents. I wouldn't physically attack the child from behind then leg it as soon as someone came to the door. I dread to think what would have happened if he hadn't been disturbed. This was a cowardly attack by an adult on a child and shouldn't go unpunished.

You have the option to prosecute them yourself both for the attack on your son and for trespassing on your property. Although in suggesting this I fully understand that it is may not be a preferred or viable option. You could contact the police Complaints Commission and see if you actually have a case against Cheshire Constabulary.

The real issue to these comments here is that Nathan is still missing!
