St Oswald's given £276k cash boost
THE future of St Oswald’s Church, Winwick has been given a cash boost thanks to the Heritage Lottery Fund.
The grade I church has been awarded £276,000 for repairs to ceilings and a new roof after the main body of the church had to be closed due to a serious infestation of death watch beetle.
Repair work started on the iconic building thanks to generous donations through the ‘Save Our Church’ campaign.
