Gym to open in former Andrew Harris premises Gym to open in former Andrew Harris premises

A NEW gym is set to open in the town centre.

The Pure Gym will be based on Fennel Street in the former Andrew Harris furniture shop.

An opening date has not yet been confirmed, but officials say it will be soon.

Membership is now open.

To me, that say more about Total Fitness's business model and/or prices, customer service etc than it does about "the need for another gym"

TBF the current Pure Gym is absolutely rammed at peak times. This new gym will hopefully appeal to current members who work around the town centre and ease the one near LA Bowl. Plus, more jobs will be created.

One concern is the car park size if the LA Bowl one is anything to go off.

i spoke with louise who runs Pure gym north, the new gym will have no more than 20 spaces, its planned like many of the other puregyms to be a town/public transport accessible site! i say its going to be chaos, as you point out, if the car park at the current gym is anything to go by, but hopefully once this gym opens it will take some of the weight from the winwick gym!!
