PUPILS and staff at Sycamore Lane Community Primary turned back the clock to the swinging sixties this week to mark the end of an era.

Uniforms were swapped for flower power shirts and tie dye bandanas as the school celebrates 45 years on Sycamore Lane, Great Sankey, before it moves to Chapelford next month and becomes Chapelford Village Primary School.

Past and present pupils, staff and friends of the school were also invited to join the fun as the school’s original log book dating back to 1968 when it first opened was on show and pupils’ artwork.
