AN accident has caused congestion on the M6 this morning.
Emergency services were called to the Thelwall Viaduct around 7.15am to reports of a collision between a car and a lorry on the northbound road.
A male driver had been trapped in his car and had to be cut free by firefighters.
The road was back open at 8am but traffic has been queuing back to the Knutsford junction.
