Man assaulted and robbed in Birchwood

A MAN was punched in the head and had his phone stolen in Birchwood.
Police say the 46-year-old victim was walking on Oakwood Gate between 9pm and 9.40pm on Monday January 7.
He had just finished talking on the phone when he was struck, leaving minor scratches.
The attacker took the phone and ran off.
He is described as white, aged in his 30s, 5ft 8ins tall, and of slim build.
He was clean shaven, spoke with a local accent and wore a black hooded top with the hood up, dark trousers and dark canvas shoes.
Anyone with information can call police on 101 quoting incident number 817 of January 7.
