Council joins fostering bid
9:10am Monday 28th January 2013 in News
MAKE this year a life changer for you and someone else by fostering.
Organisers of the You Can Foster campaign, a collaboration of the 23 councils in the north west, are pushing to exceed the 1,500 inquiries they had last year.
Adverts are set to air next week on ITV featuring real foster carers from all walks of life Applications are welcomed from people who are single, in a relationship, married or divorced whether they are in work full-time or not and regardless of gender or sexual orientation.
All are assessed on their own merits and the type of care you could offer a child is the most important thing.
Clr Colin Froggatt, executive member for children and young people’s services at the council, said: “The start of the new year is the perfect time for us to call on our residents and ask them to give something back to a child in need in our community.”
