Dangerous ecstasy side effects warning issued
A WARNING against taking ecstasy has been issued by Warrington Borough Council.
Its Drug and Alcohol Action Team is urging people to be wary of the dangerous side effects of the class A drug.
Greater Manchester Police are investigating whether three deaths are linked to contaminated ecstasy from Merseyside.
Effects of taking ecstasy include increase in heart rate, palpitations, anxiety and even depression.
It can also cause the brain to swell if combined with too much fluid.
Anyone concerned about ecstasy use can call CRI Warrington on 415176

I wouldn't even warn people, if their that stupid to take drugs then its their own fault.
So I guess you lump all those drug crazed alcohol takers you see spilling out onto the streets every night into the same category then?

Pure MDMA when taken in the right dosage is one of the most harmless, euphoric and spiritual drugs there is. If it was regulated and decriminalised, all of this could be avoided! Think how many people die and have their lives destroyed because of alcohol every week. Spend a night in town on a Friday/Saturday night and it will give you a general idea.
It is very sad and unfortunate that three young people have died and my condolences go out to their family and friends, but criminals will continue to do this and get away with it and more families lives will be destroyed until something is done!

Usually it's just the Cannabis mob!!
Why not go all the way and legalise ALL dangerous drugs and while we are at...guns of all shapes & sizes...
It's not the guns that kill, it's the person holding & firing it...
So legalise everything and then blame the person for using/taking it...!
FFS..!!
That's why things are made illegal...because society has idiots who can't think for themselves and need mothering..

I can't believe we now have a Pro-Ecstacy (Pro-MDMA) campaign...

This is not a pro MDMA campaign you utter toilet brain.
As for 'dangerous drugs' alcohol and tobacco kill many more thousands of people per year than all the supposed illegal dangerous drugs combined. So what's your opinion on those?
Ill informed people like you make me sick. You don't have a clue what you are talking about and it's your type of idiocy that is more dangerous than anything else.
The very fact that you would rather see fellow humans suffering and dying because of lack of accurate information about what they are taking says it all about you. You're a pathetic excuse for a human being.

It’s because the government can make a fortune on taxing it its nothing to do with something being dangerous it’s all about whether the government can make money on it, But don’t take my word for it just take a look at the figures for drug related illness/death/crime and alcohol & cigarettes related illness/death/crime.

The war on drugs was lost a long time ago and until something is done, unfortunate instances like this will continue and the judicial system will continue to waste hundreds of millions of pounds a year on prosecuting drug users, the drug dealers will get richer and families lives will continue to get destroyed.
Enjoy your glass of wine in front of the idiot box tonight Sayitasitis.

However I hope that they might see the adverse side effects that their co-dependents suffer and let be a warning to them if that is what it takes. They don't always consider the causal effects on their family, relatives and friends. They obviously make their own choices and some appear to dismiss the consequences of doing so.

How terribly ill informed this article is.

Like you I also express my sorrow at the loss of their young lives and offer my sincere condolences to their family, their relatives and their friends.

People who drink then cause trouble.
It's not the drinks fault...it's the drinkER.
Drink does not make a decent person into a violent one...the violence is already there...drink just reduces their inhabitions and allows them to let it out...then say "oh it was the beer, not me"
No one has said 1 pint could kill you or 1 cigarette can kill you...(before anyone says it, this is not based on any alergies, slipping on a wet floor caused by spilt beer, or anyting else)
But many of these other illegal substances do and in many cases, with a single dose.
I know what is in my pint...
No one knows what is in these drugs...
I agree with the comment earlier, basically..."tough!!
"
You take that chance and partake in illegal drug use...you face the consequences.
No one else is to blame...!

Back to the story,I have no sympathy with people who take drugs, they are repeatedly warned of the dangers and choose to ignore the warnings.
