A PENSIONER, who has been trekking across the country dressed in a top hat and tails, visited Warrington on Thursday.

Andy Peddle, aged 70, has been raising cash and awareness of The Salvation Army’s work with homeless people and victims of human trafficking by walking to everyone of their charity shops over 18 months.

Staff welcomed him to the Academy Street store on Thursday afternoon before he headed across Cheshire.
