A FUNDRAISING ball is being held next weekend in aid of a Callands Primary School pupil who has an extremely rare form of cancer.
Ava Scott, aged eight, has been bravely battling Ewing’s Sarcoma since last summer and had to have her femur removed and replaced in December meaning she will have to learn to walk again.
The Ava Scott Glitter Ball in aid of the Ava Scott Foundation, on February 2 at the Fir Grove Hotel from 7pm, is raising cash for Ava’s aftercare as well as raising awareness.
The evening includes a two course dinner, music from singer Lucie Evans and a surprise celebrity guest.
Lisa Swift, who set up the fo
undation, said: “Ava is the bravest and most amazing little girl I have ever met.
“She has coped with everything she has been through with such grace and dignity, everyone who meets Ava comes away with a smile.”
Tickets are £20 each, e-mail theavascottglitterball@live.com or to donate a raffle prize call 07814 568278 or visit theavascottfoundation.org.
