THREE Blockbuster stores in the town will not be affected by closures announced at the weekend.

The film rental store went into administration at the end of last week throwing the future of shops on School Brow, Westbrook Centre and Walton Road, Stockton Heath into doubt.

Administrators confirmed there were plans for 129 stores to close but the Warrington stores will remain open.

Administrators confirmed there were plans for 129 stores to close but the Warrington stores will remain open........FOR NOW (edited for reality).

Afterall, we wouldn't want a headline in a few weeks time that says administrators do u-turn on Warrington stores.
