RESIDENTS attending a planning meeting regarding Arpley tip have been warned if they want to speak during the meeting, they must get in touch with the planning department beforehand.

The extraordinary development management committee will take place on January 30 at 6.30pm at the Parr Hall to decide whether rubbish can continue to be dumped at the landfill site in Sankey Bridges until 2025.

The agenda for the meeting will be on the council’s website from Wednesday onwards.

A council spokesman said: “Members of the public are welcome to attend however formal representations to speak must be made prior to the meeting via the planning department.”
