CHESHIRE Police is offering teenagers the chance of a work experience placement.

To apply you must explain in no more than 250 words what policing means to you and why you should be chosen.

Applicants must be in year 10 or 11 of high school, or in sixth form.

The placement will offer participants the chance to try a variety of roles within the police force.

It will run from Monday, July 1 to Friday, July 5.

Application forms can be downloaded from cheshire.police.uk.

The deadline is Monday, January 21.

Anymore than 250 words and you will be classed as a gasbag. Also apply during the school holdays.

You have to be 19 years old and the pay is no good,

Nobody will like you and 15% of your pay will go towards a pension that you may not live long enough to collect. By the time these new recruits retire they will be in their late 70,s.
