A BARROW Hall College student has been creating a big bang after being shortlisted as a finalist in a national science and engineering competition.
Year 13 pupil Zahra Rana is hoping to pick up the coveted title of young scientist of the year at the event in London but is looking for funding towards the four day trip.
Staff said they were very proud of Zahra’s achievements who hopes to showcase her project about fossil gastropods alongside finalists from across the country during the Big Bang Young Scientists and Engineers Fair in March.
Anyone who can sponsor the trip should get in touch with the college.
