Black and white TV licences still in use in town

BLACK and white TVs are still being switched on in town.

Figures released by TV Licensing have revealed there are still 29 black and white licences in Warrington - after nearly 46 years of colour broadcasting.

A spokesman said: “Despite the historic switch to digital television last year, and an increase in the sale of flat screen televisions, tablets, laptops and smart-phones over the Christmas period, some homes in the UK just cannot bear to part with their trusty black and white television sets.”

What they really mean is "29 people in Warrington are still buying a black and white tv licence".....And if they can get away with it why not....Its £49 for a b&w and £145.50 for a colour...Outragious for the crap they put on tv,and the wages they pay celebrity's''

A good economic principle and down grade your TV, you can sill get b&W TV sets but are hard to come by.

Its all in the cause of economy, Reducing the cost of living,

Over Christmas and New year we had 27 black and white films, The repeats are so numerous its unbelievable,

If they treat viewers like this
they should expect some sort of protest.
