A FULL closure will remain in place at the site of controversial roadworks in Culcheth.
As previously reported in the Warrington Guardian, work is currently taking place at Wilton Lane in the village.
The repairs were delayed before Christmas and work restarted on Monday.
But residents have now been told the road will remain closed for the final five weeks - and not operate under traffic lights as a spokesman said in last week’s paper.
The same diversion will be in place.
Residents and businesses in the village have been angered by the arrangements, saying it is putting visitors off from going to the village.
