Health champion needed

AN independent organisation, which is being set up to champion health and social care issues, is looking for a chairman and board of directors.

Information about Healthwatch Warrington will be available today, Tuesday at The Gateway, Sankey Street from 10am to 12pm.

Clr Pat Wright, executive board member for health, wellbeing and adult services said: “Becoming a board member provides a great opportunity to help influence, deliver service improvements and make a real difference to the lives of the people of Warrington.”

They might actually prefer to be chaired by a woman as their chair or rather chairperson. Have they not heard of equality and diversity? No I don't mean the X-factor or Britons got talent competitors.

"Information about Healthwatch Warrington will be available today, Tuesday at The Gateway, Sankey Street from 10am to 12pm"....i assume you only want someone who can attend an info morning on a weekday then?!?! never mind the average working person of warrington....your clearly not invited to apply!

In addition the information appeared on this site after the event anyway so we all missed the opportunity to attend.

In addition the information appeared on this site after the event anyway so we all missed the opportunity to attend.
Like many things seems designed to exclude all except the usual gang of public sector officials and local politicians wanting to have something to crow about on forums rather than answer questions.
