Armed raid at Lymm newsagents

A SHOP worker was threatened at knifepoint during a robbery at a Lymm newsagents.

Police are appealing for witnesses to the incident that took place at McColls on Albany Road at around 6.05am yesterday, Wednesday.

Three men entered the store with the employee threatened with the knife and forced into a back room.

The trio stole cash and cigarettes before escaping in a black Vauxhall Astra down Albany Road towards Starr Lane, say police.

DC Matt Gagen said: "We take any incidents of this nature extremely seriously and will do all we can to trace those responsible.

“The member of staff was left very shaken by their ordeal.”

The first man is described as white, around 5ft 8ins tall, of average build and aged in his mid 20s. He spoke with a Liverpool accent and wore black clothing with a scarf over his face.

The second and third men are described as white and were wearing black clothing and black footwear.

Anyone with any information can call police on 101 quoting incident number 98 of January 2.

This country will get even,
worse when the benefit scrounging scumbags have their payments reduced, I cant understand todays world.
