Firefighters rescue dog impaled on branch in Radley Common, Orford

FIREFIGHTERS came to the rescue of an unlucky pooch who had become impaled on a branch in Orford.

The pet dog had been running through the woods with his owner when the canine stepped on a sharp branch which went through its hind leg on Radley Common.

Crews were called today, Thursday, at 12.40pm at the request of a vet who sedated the animal while firefighters cut through the branch.

She was then taken to a vet’s surgery to have the remaining section of branch removed from her leg.

Do you know the dog’s owner?

Why ?

The story says the dog had been running around WITH it's owners and presumably they are the ones who phoned the vet to come who then phoned the fire brigade to assist.

I presume the guardian is only asking if anyone knows the owners so they can do a follow up story or get more details.

Glad to hear it's ok poor thing :)

WHY ????

Well how about you read the story again about how it was out with it's OWNERS when it got hurt and then my comment too.

The dog is clearly not missing so why would you post it on a 'missing' facebook page? any by the way even as a facebook member I can't access the link you posted as it is 'closed'...

No knocking you though and if it was a lost and injured dog then you would have done right and it would be commendable.
