Crime boss to visit town
11:00am Friday 4th January 2013 in News
John Dwyer
SHARE your views with the Police and Crime Commisioner when he visits the town centre this month.
John Dwyer will be on a walkabout on Tuesday, January 22 when residents can give their views on policing in the area.
He said: "I am drawing up the police and crime plan which will shape the direction of policing in Cheshire.
“By meeting people face to face I can get a real impression of what is important to them and what they think about the objectives I am proposing for my first year in office and beyond.
“I am also deciding the police budget for the coming year.
That will affect how much council tax people pay for policing.
“I will welcome people’s views on the budget proposals and where savings could be made to meet the required reductions in funding.”

Probably between 9 and 5 when most law-abiding, police-supporting, tax paying individuals are in work.

1) the role is ill-thought out and its creation merely a result of tory hatred of local democracy
2) The election was a farce and with such a low turnout that he has no democratic mandate. If I remember rightly, less than 5% of the electorate voted for him as their first choice candidate.
3) If he was the superb candidate he was put forward as being then people have to wonder why he needs to employ the ex-chair of the police authority to hold his hand.
4) To be at all relevant to the majority in the borough you need to go vack on your candidatee statement to focus on rural crime - not much sheep rustling goes on where I live.
5) Set meaurable goals, and if these are not met - resign.

Also,
does he know where Warrington is? or will he class Stockton Heath as his offical state to the town like he did during his election campaign?
