Royal Mail staff in Warrington set for strike tomorrow
ROYAL Mail workers have called off a strike planned for tomorrow, Friday, following an improved pay offer.
Engineers and cleaners employed by Romec had voted 91 per cent in favour of action in a ballot of 1,900 workers which would have hit Warrington Mail Centre in Lingley Green.
The strike action was called in protest at a 1.5 per cent pay offer.
But at the eleventh hour bosses offered a revised level of 3.1 per cent over 15 months.

ome people like myself have had a 1% payrise, the first for 3 years!!! and it was wiped out by an increase to my pension of 1.5%!!!!! and to compound this, they take 10 days to deliver a simple item...........which with postage costs is an utter joke!!! i'm very supportive of public sector workers but they are extracting the urine!!!!
