Whirlwind week for One direction star Harry Styles and Taylor Swift cupcake couple from Chapleford, Warrington

IT has been a whirlwind week for Chapelford couple Matt and Kelly Blakey after a member of the world’s biggest boyband arrived on their doorstep.
One Direction’s Harry Styles ordered 23 cupcakes from the Custom Cupcake Company to mark his American singer girlfriend Taylor Swift’s 23rd birthday last week.
Since then the business, based in the newly wed’s home on Montgomery Close, has gone global hitting the headlines in Hollywood and receiving orders from Florida in America.
Matt, aged 40, said: “It’s been mindblowing.
“We have had people ringing up and asking for exactly the same order as Harry’s and orders from America.
“The phone has been non-stop with calls from American national entertainment channel E News and celebrity magazines including US Weekly and The Sun newspaper.
“It’s crazy considering at first we just thought it was a wind up.”
The former chef, who trained at the Hong Kong Hilton and is known as the cupcake man in Chapelford due to his bright purple hair, received a call last Wednesday asking for 23 cakes urgently.
He added: “The woman said it was for Harry Styles but I didn’t know who that was at first and then just thought it was someone winding me up.
“We had got a lot of orders before Christmas but she said he desperately needed them.
“It was only afterwards we looked on the internet and saw it was his girlfriend’s birthday today and she was 23.”
The popstar picked up a selection of 12 flavours including ones filled with candy floss and a mint liqueur centre.
Kelly, aged 36, added: “I was a real professional until I closed the door and then I went a bit giddy.
“Matt hadn’t told me the cakes were for Harry Styles so I was really surprised when I opened the front door to him covered in icing sugar.
“He was a lovely, down to earth guy.”

Man buys cakes and we get THREE stories about it - pathetic!
If I owned the cake shop, I'd refuse to serve him on the basis of grounds that their music and everything about them is utter gash.
