Wolves coach Willie Poching and former back rower David Solomona celebrate news the World Cup was coming in March
2012 was great but 2013 could be even more special in Warrington.
During the festive period, we have been reminding you of some of the headlines that made the news this year in our 12 days of Christmas (and the new year!).
And in the final part of the series, we look back at one event and forward to another.
One of the highlights of this year was confirmation that Samoa would be based in Warrington for the 2013 Rugby League World Cup.
For the first time, the town will play host to two matches in the competition - the game between New Zealand and Samoa as well as a quarter final.
As well as the games in the competition, which kicks off in October, the town will be decked out to support the World Cup with plenty of events already planned and more to be announced as 2013 takes shape.
