WARBURTON Bridge Road, Rixton, could remain closed overnight after a lorry became stuck this morning.
Police were called to the incident at 10.05am after the trailer of the lorry, carrying compressed cardboard, got stuck on bridge supports.
Engineers are currently at the scene to establish the severity of damage to the bridge.
Nobody has been injured.
The road is closed at its junction with Manchester Road .
