A PARISH council has agreed to adopted the living wage for its staff.
The decision, made by Culcheth and Glazebury Parish Council at its meeting earlier this month, will see increases in the wages of three staff on the minimum wage to £7.45.
Clr Chris Vobe (Lab - Newchurch) said: "Paying the Living Wage is a responsible step and a stance which should be adopted by every other parish council in the borough.
"In Culcheth and Glazebury, my team and I greatly value the work that parish council staff do and recognise the quality service that they help to provide for the village."
