PADDINGTON House Hotel has been bought by a hotel chain.
The Manchester Road hotel was snapped up by Zaman Hotels (PVT) Limited on Tuesday, securing 31 jobs at Woolston venue.
Previous owners Venture Hotel Group entered administration in November last year following a continued deterioration in trade but adminstrators kept it trading.
Baker Tilly Restructuring and Recovery LLP completed the sale.
Russell Cash, restructuring and recovery partner for Baker Tilly, said: “This is good news for the local economy and also for the community who will continue to enjoy and benefit from having a thriving local business in the area.”
Zaman Hotels is owned by the Zaman family which own and operate a number of hotels nationally.
Director Zishan Zaman said: “The Paddington House hotel is an excellent budget hotel. During these recessionary times individuals and companies are looking for affordable accommodation and wedding venues so this venue fits perfectly into our portfolio. We will honour all bookings currently at the hotel and aim to make this a perfect ’local’ hotel.”
Mark Chambers, director of Onecall Hospitality, who operated the hotel in while in administration, added: “It is great to see Paddington House Hotel sold while retaining the business as a hospitality establishment.”
