Man charged following armed robbery

A MAN has been charged following an armed robbery in Warrington town centre on Saturday.
The 49-year-old, from London, is facing one charge of armed robbery and one charge of possession of an imitation firearm.
He is due to appear before Halton Magistrates’ Court in Runcorn this afternoon, Wednesday.
The man was arrested on Saturday in Runcorn and has been remanded in custody.
The charges relate to a raid at the Thompson travel agents in Golden Square Shopping Centre on Saturday.
