RESIDENTS on a Howley estate are claiming a stack of timber being built up for bonfire night is too close to houses.

Homeowners are concerned over the bonfire waiting to be lit on private wasteland opposite Sainsburys on Church Street.

Geoff Brooks is chairman of Trinity Green Management Company, which looks after homes next to the site.

He said: “There is a massive pile of timber and this could be dangerous.

“It is too high but the police and council don’t seem to be interested.”

Police and Council.....?? Try speaking to the Fire Service, i am sure they will offer sound advice. I cant see what crying to the papers is going to achieve....?

can not really tell by the camera angle. but yes i would say that looks a little to close to the houses
