HOWLEY residents can find out more about flood defence plans for their area at a drop-in session organised by the Environment Agency.

The first phase of flood defences across the town is already under way at Victoria Park.

Once work is complete on phase one of the River Mersey Flood Risk Management Scheme there it will move on to run from Wharf Street to Kingsway North.

The session will take place at St Elphin’s Church Hall, on St Katherine’s Way, on Wednesday from 4pm to 8pm.

There residents can ask questions, view plans for the site and learn more about how flood defences benefit the community.

For more information on the drop-in session call Chris Stone on 532419 or e-mail floodriskwarrington@environment-agency.gov.uk.
