Tickets for blood donor vans

The blood van and ticket The blood van and ticket

IT is the last thing needed while you are focusing on helping to save lives.

A reader spotted this National Blood Service van which was given a parking ticket at a give blood session at the Pyramid on Wednesday.

A Warrington Borough Council spokesman said the service was welcome to contact the council parking department to appeal against the ticket.

This is disgusting, has this traffic warden got a brain between his ears??? Surely there are circumstances where its “morally” wrong to issue a ticket for example if a house was on fire would the attending fire engine be issued a ticket if parked on double yellows . WBC “the service was welcome to contact the council parking department to appeal against the ticket” basically saying tough luck?? what an utter joke and it’s a wonder why traffic wardens get a bad name

Bad enough the Blood Donor van was given a parking ticket in the first place. Even worse that some WBC nobody flippantly states that the donor service is welcome to appeal against the ticket. I understand that the blood Donor Service did have a permit to park there.

They did have a permit, The town hall employ,s little hitlers to make the motorists lives hell, Car,s park on double yellow lines elsewhere in warrington besides the town centre and nothing is done, Blood donor van,s had permits therefore PERMITTED to park there never mind an appeal..
