THE NSPCC has reveiled its newly refurbished service centre to help vulnerable children in the town.

Based within the Peace Centre, the facility will include programmes supporting and protecting children, children whose parents have drug and alcohol problems and are at high risk of abuse or neglect, a sexual abuse therapeutic programme and a programme to protect babies and toddlers under the age of one.

Bernadette Oxley, NSPCC regional head of service, said: “This is a very exciting time for the NSPCC in Warrington.

“We have a staff team of 24 and now have fantastic refurbished offices which offer a much more comfortable environment for children and their families.

“Through our new innovative services we will bring help and support to those children most at risk and help turn around the lives of many of the most vulnerable children in our local community.”
