MP calls for new Hillsborough inquests MP calls for new Hillsborough inquests

HELEN Jones MP has called for fresh inquests into the death of Liverpool fans at Hillsborough to be held in Liverpool.

The Warrington North MP has backed families of the 96 Liverpool fans killed who are calling for new inquests to take place in the city.

Ms Jones questioned the Attorney General Dominic Grieve in the House of Commons about how the fresh inquests he is applying for will be conducted.

She said: “I am genuinely thankful that the Attorney General has announced that he will be preparing an application for fresh inquests to be held into the deaths of the 96 Liverpool fans at Hillsborough and for the original, discredited verdicts to be quashed.

“I think it is important that the new inquests are held in Liverpool as the families of the victims have long campaigned for. I hope that if the Attorney General’s application is successful then the court will arrange for the inquests to be held in Liverpool.

“We are still a long way from justice for the 96 and their families, but this is a positive development.”

where has she been ? has she just woke up? now we know the mess the police made it was allways obvious that they would need to change the judgement for 96 npeople who died, asking every MP if they have an opinion is a complete waste of time,

i dare you to find one who says the first judgement was correct?

Hardly newsworthy -Helen jones jumps on bandwagon to get her name associated and in the press like she's doing something. That's all she ever has done. You should be ashamed of yourself jusing 96 people's deaths to have a little bit more spotlight.
