Warrington is in no way unique in having violent incidents, I am sure a perusal of local news media anywhere in teh country would show that. Just out of curiosity which urban/rural paradise do you live in now? Ambridge (watch out for the Horrobins), St Marys Meade (occasional body in the vicarage there), Trumpton?

Your right NT, Warrington is no way unique to having violent incidents.....and thats just its problem...chav scum are a scar on the town of Warrington and thats why we see reports like this week in week out...it is getting worse and i cant see it ever changing...So good on you Warrington on tour for moving your family away to a nicer place... i too will be on the move as soon as i can.....

i have worked in the nightclub / bar industry for a number of years all over the country and warrington is not on its own. places like liverpool, manchester, widnes, northwich oldham, blackpool, wigan and further a fielfd are the same, every town has incidents like this, the problem is the Warrington Guardian, Sky News portray it worse, the bars open 5 nights a week, one one incident a week pops up and you get pompus snobs like you popping up. its pathetic.

oh and on the homepage of the Chichester Observer reads 'Seven sentenced for heroin and cocaine supply in Littlehampton & Chichester'....but of course that didnt happen did it as nothing like that would happen where YOU now live....

This is not the first time you've tried defend the drunken rampages that idiotic louts regularly engage in this town.. Whether it's one a week or one a month, IT IS NOT ACCEPTABLE BEHAVIOUR...

It comes as no surprise however that once againt catalyst for type of incident is the very poison that is peddled by the likes of you..

This town is worse than some city,s. Its getting worse by the week. But so are other towns, It seems everybody but the villains are to blame ( government cuts, Police shortages etc etc etc ) But pubs will keep serving people who are well p......d in order to take money off them, Moving home wont cure these ills but something must be done about it and soon.

The problem with society is, and i use the term in irony, "Job seekers allowance". I agree with helping unemployed people who are looking for work but the long term ones should do some sort of community service like clean the streets, empty bins etc. Make people earn their money whilst looking for work and paying them JSA. I agree, pioneer1, that the problem is in every town and city and society, as a whole, needs to work together and tell teach their children right from wrong........These mindless idiots were probably just drunk/high/whatever anyway and my argument wont have any bearing on their life!!

I don't believe that any of the above are defending the loutish/criminal behaviuor, just pointing out that the same behaviour occurs in other towns & cities in the country. Tonight on BBC southern news there was a report of a pig's head been thrown at the windows of a Mosque in Newbury, Royal Berks - a very affluent, middle class very English market town, home of Kate, nee Middleton; the setencing of a Swindon, Wilts, taxi driver who sexually assaulted & murdered a young female neighbour, in Savernake Forest, Marlborough (home of a Public School) & buried her in an Oxfordshire beauty spot - he admitted similar murders, but cannot be prosecuted for them as the police didn't note the corrct info at the time. We've had the reports of the Ford Transit driver's rampage in Cardiff, seriosly injuring 13+ people. In the past there have been murders of women in Bristol & Shrewsbury; the Hungerford massacre (another small,middleclass very English Berkshire town, which is smaller than Stockton Heath). The list continues. Those of us who have left Warrington for various reasons encounter similar bad behavioural problems to Warrington, they are all abhorent, but dont decry Warrington as the only "bad" place. From obsevaton (not of Warrington) many of todays parents - many affluent middleclass - no longer think they should control their (often young/toddler) children, from running amok in buildings/social situations. I have known primary school aged children, when warned that their actions/behaviour could cause them serious injury, they have retoted that should they get hurt then their parents will sue theowner/organiser/e
ntertainer. These are the beginnings of future bad/loutish behaviour & lack of social respect or preventing self-harm.

The laughter is clearly one of confusion on your part.

So you don't think the plethora of broken bones and violent assaults reported WEEKLY in this paper is as bad as people make out??

Try asking the victims of this type of crime what they think..

You may have worked the bars of this small town but I've promoted and dj'd at events catering for between 50 to 1,000 people in many major UK cities over the last 10 years.

I've been stood next to a friend who has been violently punched to the floor in an unprovoked attack from side on and knocked out cold, bleeding from his mouth, ears and back of his head.

I've then stood by him and testified in court and had to relive the whole nightmare experience so who the hell do you think you are to question my knowledge when you know absolutely nothing??

And you sell alcohol right? Or have been concerned with the sale of alcohol? If so then you are peddling the very same poison that in 9/10 cases is the catalsyt for this type of behaviour. No where did I say that you were causing trouble..
