Man has ear bitten in Latchford bar

A 26-YEAR-OLD man had part of his ear bitten off during an attack in Bridge Bar in Latchford on Saturday.

Police are appealing for witnesses to the assault that took place at 12.40am.

The victim was in the bar on Maybrook Place when his attacker grabbed him in headlock before kneeing him in the face and biting his ear.

He was taken to Warrington Hospital for treatment.

The suspect was kicked out of the bar before leaving in a red car, which police say may have been a taxi.

No one has been arrested yet in connection with the attack.

Anyone with information can call police on 101 quoting incident number 58 of October 20.

Why was he not detained by the bouncers whilst they waited for the fuzz? Would the bar be culpable if he had done other things after leaving? Duty of care springs to mind...
