A GREAT Sankey author has launched his second book.
Gary Speakman, a regional sales manager for building merchants Travis Perkins has written Sell Your Soul For Six Pence hot on the heels of his debut novel Six of the Best.
It is a work of fiction that tells the story of Steve Raemoss, a man who gets tired of his daily life as a salesman and, in search of adventure, ends up in deep trouble with some gangsters in Liverpool.
The 40-year-old, dad of two, was first inspired to start writing afrer colleagues enjoyed his imaginative emails.
He said: “One of them suggested I should write a book and so I started thinking about it. I was driving when I got my opening line of my first book, Six of the Best, and six weeks later I had written it.”
Both novels are available at online stores.
