Glazebrook W.I By Margaret Hornby Our February meeting was opened by the president, Mrs Hornby.
She welcomed the speaker, Mrs Margaret Ledger. On a previous visit her talk was about Outer Mongolia, this time she spoke of her visit to Butan .It was enhanced by slides, and drawn illustrations. Her enthusiastic approach to her subject was much enjoyed.
After tea, we continued with our business meeting. With news from NFWI, Cheshire news, Theatre visits, and our arrangements to celebrate the Queen's Diamond Jubilee. Our delegate will attend the Royal Albert Hall, for the AGM in May.
We entered a team for the Cheshire W.I Quiz and amazingly came joint first in the regions heat. The final is at Comberbach in April.
