A COFFEE morning was held at the end of July by Stockton Heath Flower Club.

Visitors and members of the club enjoyed browsing the selection of stands including a floral sales table selling beautiful designs made by club members, an exceptionally well stocked tombola stand and a stand overflowing with delicious homemade cakes and tray bakes.

Members also donated beautiful floral designs and vouchers for the floral raffle.

During the morning the audience was entertained by the very talented Eleanor Griffiths, a north west area demonstrator from NAFAS.

Eleanor shared with members and visitors the basics of flower design.

She used many beautiful seasonal flowers such as gladiolus, delphiniums, lisianthus, roses, and freesia in her exquisite designs, sharing tips and anecdotes with her delighted audience.

The designs were then included in the floral raffle and won by members of the audience.

The morning was very well attended.

The next club night is September 1, 7.15pm for a 7.30pm start when Susan Maddocks will be the demonstrator for the evening with her presentation autumn leaves.

Visitors are always welcome.
