ASSASSIN'S Creed is one of those games that was hotly anticipated for so long that it could only buckle under the weight of expectation.
But it is a great shame if anyone dismisses the title because of these initial shockwaves as on face value, this is a very strong game.
"Assassin’s Creed literally comes on leaps and bounds from its predecessors as any surface can be climbed with acrobatic elegance."
David Morgan
Using a machine that can unlock the memories of your ancestors, you travel back in time' to play as the assassin Altair during The Crusades.
Developed by the team behind the Prince of Persia games, Assassin's Creed literally comes on leaps and bounds from its predecessors as any surface can be climbed with acrobatic elegance.
Your role is to assassinate nine key figures that are tearing the holy land apart.
It is well paced, the graphics are slick and the game introduces many new dynamics, especially the way you jump and climb.
The only disappointment is the combat, which seems to have taken a step back rather than forward.
