Todd's Dancing on Ice disaster - Updated with video!

THERE were some strange sights on the box at the weekend, one of the most bizarre of which was the new Cadbury's advertisement.

What two children with dancing eyebrows has to do with chocolate I have no idea, but then that was also the case with the drumming gorilla!

Another weird, but hilarious, interlude came from Todd Carty in Dancing on Ice (ITV1, Sunday), as he 'skated' completely off the rink in an effort to stay upright.

As his partner continued with the routine, he reappeared as though pushed on by someone out of sight of the cameras. Now that's entertainment!

The great British public agreed, as it made sure he was voted back in to perform again next week.

Last Friday saw the return of Jonathan Ross with his BBC1 chat show. I tuned in as he introduced his main guest, the vertically challenged Tom Cruise, who spent most of the interview looking at Ross as though he was speaking a different language. We all have that trouble with Wossy, Tom.

Meanwhile, over in Weatherfield, we are having to suffer yet another low life family on the street.

Soap scriptwriters seem to think we find criminals and benefit cheats amusing. Emmerdale has the Dingles, Walford had the Millers and now the Windasses have taken over from the Battersbys in Corrie.

Finally, the most unlikely sight of the weekend was the victory of Ulrika-ka-ka in Celebrity Big Brother (Channel 4, Friday).

I am at a loss to know who thought voting for her was a good idea. It will only encourage her to believe she really is a celebrity!
